Organizer, Sandra J Walker, has 48 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
I began my career as a nurse’s aide in my hometown hospital. The RN who worked closely with me observed my gift of compassion for those with health issues. With the encouragement of the RN and my desire to obtain more knowledge, I proceeded to further my education in the nursing field. I secured my diploma as an LPN at Roanoke Memorial School of Practical Nursing and later obtained an Associate of Science Degree from Georgia State University.
I’ve worked in many fields of nursing including OB/GYN, medical/surgical, skilled nursing, ICU/CCU, orthopedic, home health, and internal medicine.
I retired from a 26-year position in a gastroenterology office. I started as a back-office supervisor and ended as a PACU nurse.
I’ve been a certified BLS/CPR Instructor with The American Heart Association for approximately 6 years.
BLS/CPR has been proven to save lives, and Sandy Save A Life is committed to teaching high-quality CPR to everyone.
